The Regional Capacity Building Partners (RECABIP) is a network of
professional organizations and individuals who have combined their skills
and experience to explore cost-effective ways of strengthening the
response to HIV and AIDS, Climate Change, Governance and Leadership
issues, among other development concerns. We do this through tailored
capacity building workshops, seminars, conferences and consultancy
services. Our professionals have an average of 15 years experience in
designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating HIV and AIDS, Climate
Change, Governance and Leadership programmes.
We provide high quality, and innovative services to development
practitioners, businesses, researchers, academicians, and policy makers in
order to improve service delivery in Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. Our
cost-effective approach is designed to ensure that sustainable and
affordable capacity building and networking services are accessed by as
many people as possible. Our work is premised on a simple philosophy: the
improvement of service delivery can only happen when organizations embrace
change and explore new ways of doing things. The theme of our current
strategy is Exploring Evidence, Strengthening Action.
To be a premier provider of cutting edge capacity building solutions.
To provide affordable capacity building services to actors in the private, public and development sector.
Our Objectives include the following:
RECABIP’s existence is premised on collaborating with other institutions. We therefore deliberately partner with existing organizations in Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond to offer high quality, value-added services aimed at strengthening the skills and knowledge-base necessary for an effective response to development concerns including HIV and AIDS, Climate Change, Governance and Leadership. Currently, some of the organizations we collaborate with include Advisory Centre on HIV and AIDS and Management (Malawi, Development Associates (Tanzania) and Shima Institute of Management and Leadership based in Nairobi. These institutions, while retaining their autonomy, contribute their skills and expertise to enable RECABIP to achieve its vision. If you would like to collaborate with us, please contact us via info@recabip.com.
RECABIP is under management and coordination of the Board of Directors/Advisory Committee and the secretariat headed by an Executive Director.
RECABIP's operations are currently supported through voluntary contributions from its members.
Conflicts and emergency situations interrupt people’s lives and increase their vulnerability to HIV infection, and causing the deterioration of the circumstances of people living with HIV and AIDS. Furthermore, social and economic instability, poverty of girls, women and children combined with gender-based violence further complicate the living conditions for those caught in this highly disempowering environment. If your organization is working in this area and would like to strengthen your understanding and response to HIV and AIDS in such contexts, then this Workshop is for you. Read more...
