Why Governance and Leadership?
NGOs, Governments and other institutions are constantly challenged to be accountable to the people they serve. Indeed, the absence of, or the insufficient observation of minimum standards for accountable governance and leadership limits the possibility of institutions or individuals offering quality services.
At RECABIP, we believe that good governance and leadership go hand in hand. They underpin the delivery of effective services whether at private or public level. They therefore require good management of people and performance, good management of financial resources, good engagement of stakeholders and, ultimately, good attitudes.
What We Will Do
RECABIP will:
- Create space experts from CSOs, Government, Donors, Private Sector, and academic and research institutions to share and discuss governance and leadership methodologies, frameworks, approaches and tools.
- Identify appropriate methodologies, tools, indicators, approaches and frameworks that this partnership can effectively utilize to advance its urban governance work.
