CERTIFICATE AND DIPLOMA COURSE IN MANAGEMENT OF HIV AND AIDS PROGRAMMES

Executive Diploma and Certificate Course: Managing HIV and AIDS Programmes (June 08-June 09)

Registration Opens: 30th May 2008

Regional Capacity Building Partners is glad to announce a new Executive Diploma and Certificate in Managing HIV and AIDS Programmes.

Course Content

Everyday, we have heard of low capacity in Country Y, in Organization X and in institution W to respond to HIV and AIDS. As an organization, we thought this should not continue to happen especially in Africa, where the impact of HIV is felt in countless households each day, where there are staggering statistics that defy comprehension, and a devastating impact on the socio-economic fabric that cannot be accurately quantified.

Target Participants

The Diploma Course is aimed at:

  • Project managers in any field, but especially those whose are interested in learning about HIV and AIDS project design & management.
  • People who are interested in working on HIV and AIDS programme management.
  • People who have already worked in the HIV and AIDS field but would like to get a professional qualification on the subject.
  • And those who just want to study for the pursuit of knowledge.

Course Benefits

This course will help you improve your management skills and your career and employment prospects. The practical nature of the course, and the fact that we have little of theory (well, we need a little bit of that at times) makes it useful particularly useful for those who want to strengthen their skills and knowledge, but even for those who are getting into it for the first time. The modules are designed so that participants understand the critical issues that need to be considered from various levels of the response: the individual, household, organizational/institutional, sectoral, national and international level. This course will:

  • Strengthen your capacity to conceptualize, design, manage, monitor and evaluate HIV and AIDS programmes.
  • Equip you with an accurate understanding of the impact of HIV & AIDS on communities and institutions in Africa - and practical interventions that can help accelerate universal access to services.
